Price Transparency

Norco supports the intent by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) related to Price Transparency and the continued effort to educate individuals on the cost of health care and patient financial responsibilities. The information provided is a comprehensive list of charges for each inpatient and outpatient service or item provided through Norco’s Health Care plan. It is not a helpful tool for patients to define their own out-of-pocket expense.

The standard charge amount listed is not the amount that the Norco Health Plan is paid from Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance companies. Actual payment to the Health Plan and physicians are significantly reduced based on government regulations and negotiated insurance contracts.
